About Us

Welcome

Mother DaughterFor more than 50 years, Kaiser Permanente Hawaii has been helping its members lead happier and healthier lives. Our mission is to provide high-quality, affordable health care services and to improve the health of our members and the communities we serve. Care for members and patients is focused on their total health and guided by their personal physicians, specialists, and team of caregivers. Our expert medical teams are supported by industry-leading technology and tools for health promotion, disease prevention, care delivery, and chronic disease management.

The more than 500 physicians and providers in the Hawaii Permanente Medical Group, the largest multi-specialty physician group practice in the state of Hawaii, are dedicated to care innovation, clinical research, health education, and the support of community health.

Commitment to Education

The Kaiser Permanente Hawaii Residency Program will train pioneering new internal medicine doctors who are interested in becoming part of the future of health care. While traditional programs focus on training in a hospital, our program aims to train doctors who understand that health care is moving from hospitals to ambulatory care settings. The Kaiser Permanente Hawaii Residency Program will facilitate the development of the residents’ professional and personal skills while ensuring that our patients continue to receive safe and appropriate care.

Our residency program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).

When it comes to the communities we serve, Kaiser Permanente Hawaii has a simple, yet vital mission: to improve the health of people where they live, work, and play. Our goal is to be the champion of health care in Hawaii for our members and our communities. Through partnerships with community groups, schools, and government organizations, we work to improve access to health care, influence public policy, and develop programs that promote healthy living.
